this picture of diwani-i-khas in fatehpur sikri, was taken in 1866 by samuel bourne, one of the european photographers commissioned by the east india company in an attempt to document india. this is part of the collection titled 'picturesque views - moghul-indien im spiegel der fotografie des 19. jahrhunderts' being exhibited at the museum für asiatische kunst until march 2.come what may, i am making my way there tomorrow. hope it is worth the trip.
